Finance glossary

What is XIRR?

The annualised return on investments made at different times, such as SIP instalments.

XIRR takes into account the date and amount of every investment and withdrawal. That makes it the right measure for SIPs, where money goes in every month. Mutual fund statements usually show XIRR for your holdings.
