What happened
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD). SEBI announced it on 3 November 2026 in press release PR No. 68/2026.
An MoU is a formal agreement between two organisations that records an intention to work together. It usually sets out the broad areas of cooperation rather than binding financial terms.

What it means for you
The press release page names the two bodies and the document, but does not list the areas of cooperation, timelines or any new services for investors. For now, nothing changes in the way you invest, trade or file complaints. Any practical changes would need to be announced separately by SEBI.
You can read more about the regulator in our explainer, What is SEBI.
Background
SEBI is India’s securities market regulator. It issues circulars and press releases on rules for exchanges, intermediaries and investors, such as its recent circular on the cooling-off period for private listed InvIT OFS.
The Digital India BHASHINI Division is the other party to the MoU. Further details of the agreement have not been made public in the release.
