What happened
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on 14 October 2026 published a release order in recovery case RC No. 3965 of 2021 against Ram Kishore Taparia, in the matter of Cosboard Industries Ltd.
On the same day, SEBI also posted a notice on the release of attachment on immovable property under the same recovery case. Immovable property means land or buildings, as opposed to bank balances or shares. Both documents appear under the regulator’s Recovery Proceedings section.

What it means for you
The notices are titled as releases, which means the attachment placed on the property under this case has been lifted. The pages published by SEBI carry only the titles and the date, so the amount involved, the property concerned and the reasons for the release are not stated.
For most investors there is no direct action to take. If you hold shares in Cosboard Industries Ltd, the notices do not state any effect on the company or its shares. The PAN (Permanent Account Number, the tax identity number) is shown in the notice titles to identify the person named. You can read more in our explainer on PAN.
Background
A recovery certificate is issued when SEBI seeks to recover money due under its orders. Recovery steps can include attaching a person’s assets so they cannot be sold while the process continues. A release order is the document that ends such a hold.
SEBI has been posting a series of recovery notices recently. See our coverage of SEBI completing the recovery case against Yuvika Tradewing LLP.
