The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has constituted a working group to review the Innovators Growth Platform (IGP) framework, according to a press release dated 4 November 2026 (PR No. 69/2026).
What happened
The IGP is a framework for listing innovation-led companies on the stock exchanges. The working group will examine how it currently works and whether it needs changes.
According to NDTV Profit, the group will go through the existing framework, including its eligibility and listing requirements. It will also look at whether the platform fits companies that are still at the research stage, have no revenue yet, rely on intellectual property or are heavy users of technology.
BusinessLine reported that the review will cover listing eligibility, investor participation, pricing and disclosure norms. As the paper described it, the idea is to make it easier for deep-tech and other innovation-driven firms to reach the capital market.

What it means for you
Nothing changes immediately. A working group studies an issue and makes recommendations, and any change to the rules would need separate action by SEBI.
If you invest in newly listed companies, the review could eventually shape which young technology firms can list and what they must disclose. Pre-revenue companies carry different risks from established businesses, so disclosure norms matter to investors. If you run or work at such a startup, the outcome could affect your options for raising money through a stock market listing.
Background
Many deep-tech and research-led firms spend years developing products before earning revenue, which can make standard listing criteria hard to meet. The review looks at whether the IGP suits such businesses.
The reports do not name the members of the group or give a deadline for its recommendations.
